Hospital, Europe's leading hospital management publication
Media decisions are difficult for companies, as lots of money can be easily spent without the necessary impact. Quality is one fo the factors for success. To summarise the most important aspects:
- Editorial Quality - in what environment do you want to set your message?
- Distribution Quality - do they receipients ask for the publication?
- Language Quality - is there a multilingual option?
- Target Group Quality - do you exclusively reach your required target group?
- Cost-per-contact Quality - do you have an excellent cost/contact ratio?
- Audit Quality - is the Journal audited and/or affiliated to a reliable association?
Hospital - European leadership in hospital management!
Editorial Quality: The largest network of opinion leaders unified within the EAHM supports Hospital. Our members common goal, and reason for existence, is to share knowledge amongst each other, thus making Hospital the unchallenged point of reference in Europe.
Distribution Quality: With over 19,000 paying subscribers Hospital doesn’t need to rely on free-bies, business rosters, questionable address sources or “Polar Mail”.
Language Quality: Hospital is the world’s only hospital management publication in three languages: English and excecutive summaries in French and German. We are therefore able to reach over 60 % of our readers in their mother tongue, and almost 100 % in their first language!
Target Group Quality: Hospital has a pure readership: the primary decision makers in the hospital, with real purchasing power. You get what you pay for - without deceptive packaging.
Cost per Contact Quality: The following formula will give you the cost per contact - an important parameter in comparing real impact:
- Your precious media investment
- multiplied by 100
- divided by circulation, reduced by dilution (readers off your target), and
- weighted by quality of subscriptions (paid subsriptions have a multiple impact in comparison to “free-bies”) = Cost per contact
Audit Quality:Hospitalis independently audited, according to the international standards of business press audits, on behalf of EAHM. Only an independent audit assures you that you will really get what you pay for:
a) Definition of Recipient Qualification:the more restrictive, detailed and precise the audience is defined in the statement, the more difficult it is to comply with the requirements. For example: a 'hospital director' is rather dfficult to target; in comparison to target 'anybody relevant in a hospital' might even include a cleaning lady. b) Qualified Circulation:Qualified circulation depends on the definitions of Recipient Qualification. The breakup of the database is analysed in unpaid free circulation or in paid subscriptions. It is beyond questions that paid subscriptions have a much higher impact.
c) Qualification Source:All address data are only valid for a maximum of 3 years. This is another important point, why a media investor should require an independent audit, as it ensures regular updated files. Certain ratios are often explaining a lot about the quality of publications. For example if you have a publication mainly based on business rosters and other lists (see under point V), the convertion rate to personal direct request from the recipient (see under point I) gives an indication about the acceptance. The higher the converstion rate to point I, the more positive response this journal has.
d) Furthermore you will find in this statement a breakdown of theMailing Address and the Countries of distribution.
